- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1½ cups white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon soda
- 16 ounces dates
- ½ cup water
Preparation
- Cut dates real small.
- In a kettle over low heat, cook ½ sugar, ½ cup water and dates until thick and cool.
- Mix together all other ingredients.
- Roll out the dough between wax paper.
- Spread with date filling and roll up.
Freezing/Baking
Freeze or refrigerate
Slice and bak.
